Hi Tim, your kitchen looks great! I've been a ebainct maker and installer for 5 years, and who ever did your kitchen are pros. Its the little things you notice after you've done it for a while like the mitres on the furniture kick on the island, crown and valance. The gap between doors and drawers are even, and the colour is consistent throughout. Cherry is great to work with, soft and great to stain, although it does darken with age. I'm just curious about what kind of drawer slide you chose.

The work involved in a total kitchen remodel includes an initial consultation, design, and proposal which takes about a week. The time involved with the selection of materials for the project depends on the owner but it generally takes about a week. After an agreement is reached and the materials are ordered they usually arrive 4 to 6 weeks later.

The time involved with the demolition of the existing materials and the installation of the new materials varies depending on the size of the kitchen, and the amount of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work included in the scope. In general, the work should progress as follows: demolition will take one half to four days, rough-in work will take one half to six days, finish carpentry will take from one to four days, flooring will take one to five days, painting usually takes one to three days, appliance installation takes one to five days, electrical and plumbing finish work will take one to four days, countertop installation can be done in one day if it is coordinated properly with the other work.

Therefore, the time involved with the preliminary work is 6 to 8 weeks. The time involved with the field work is 7 to 32 working days or 1 1/2 to 6 1/2 weeks depending on the kitchen.

If you’re wondering how long you will be without your kitchen during a complete remodel the average is 2 to 3 weeks.
